Resulting from MultiToll longstanding expertise in magnetic and smart card applications in the field of toll collection, the company has developed an Automatic Coin Machine, which allows to use all means of payment on a single equipment for settling the toll fee.
The ACM includes an escrow window that separately displays accepted coins from rejected coins used in the two previous transactions as well as a dual vault compartment. These features are patented both in France and worldwide. Unaccepted coins can either be returned to the patron or deposited into a separate compartment. The coin sorter is equipped with a jamming detector and a system that automatically rejects foreign objects causing a jamming condition.
The ACM is available in a freestanding cabinet or can be integrated in a toll booth. The vault compartment can be installed in a gallery, in which case the machine can control up to four vaults. This version comprises two levels accommodating truck and car transactions through the same automatic toll lane.
